The Role The Quality Director – Denim will act as the regional authority on all denim quality matters, working closely with factories, sourcing, merchandising, and global stakeholders. You will shape quality strategy while maintaining hands‑on oversight across development, bulk production, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities Define and implement a regional denim quality strategy aligned with business and customer objectives Lead and manage denim QA/QC teams across Vietnam and nearby production hubs Ensure consistent execution of denim standards covering fabric, wash, fit, construction, and finishing Establish and track supplier quality KPIs, driving continuous improvement and accountability Conduct and oversee supplier capability and risk assessments, including new factory onboarding Embed a strong “right‑first‑time” and preventive quality culture across internal teams and vendors Act as the escalation lead for significant quality issues, customer claims, and root‑cause investigations Partner with sourcing and merchandising teams to support vendor strategy and production decisions Review, standardize, and improve quality systems, SOPs, and manuals Ensure compliance with US and EU product safety, chemical, and regulatory requirements Develop, mentor, and retain a high‑performing Vietnam‑based quality organization
What We’re Looking For Degree or diploma in Textiles, Fashion or a related discipline Extensive hands‑on experience in denim, including fabric development, washing, fit, and construction Proven leadership experience managing factory‑facing quality teams Background with international brands, retailers, or large sourcing/trading organizations Strong knowledge of apparel safety standards, chemical compliance, and factory requirements Confident communicator able to work effectively with factories, customers, and senior stakeholders Structured, practical, and results‑driven leadership style Good command in both written and spoken English
