Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Technical office Engineer to join our team. The engineer will be responsible for managing the tendering process and accurately estimating project costs for our organization. This role requires a strong understanding of tendering procedures, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare competitive and accurate cost estimates.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive cost analyses and feasibility studies for projects, considering factors such as labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracting.
2. Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets based on project specifications, drawings, and scope of work.
3. Identify potential cost risks and propose mitigation strategies to ensure project profitability.
4. Track and monitor project expenses against the approved budget throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Analyze cost variations, investigate discrepancies, and provide regular progress reports to project teams and management.
6. Implement cost control measures to mitigate potential overruns, such as value engineering, change order evaluations, and cost-saving initiatives.
7. Analyze project data and financial reports to identify cost trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
8. Prepare and present comprehensive cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses to project stakeholders and management.
9. Provide recommendations for cost optimization, process improvements, and cost reduction strategies.
