Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Executive Pastry Chef at JAZ Hotel Group, located in Egypt. The Executive Pastry Chef will oversee all aspects of pastry preparation and presentation, ensuring quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction. Daily responsibilities include menu creation, production planning, supervising pastry staff, maintaining food safety standards, and managing inventory. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with the culinary team to enhance overall dining experiences.
Qualifications Extensive experience in pastry and dessert preparation, including baked goods and creative dessert design Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to train and mentor staff Ability to create innovative and seasonal menu items, while maintaining consistency and standards Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, inventory management, and cost control Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail Previous experience in a similar role in a hospitality or luxury hotel environment is an advantage Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification in pastry and baking Proficiency in international dessert styles and techniques is a plus
