Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain MS SQL Server databases (on-premises and cloud environments). Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries and indexes. Ensure data integrity, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning. Implement database security, manage user permissions, and enforce compliance policies. Perform database upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime. Develop and maintain automated scripts for database maintenance, monitoring, and reporting. Collaborate with developers and application teams to optimize database design and queries. Participate in database capacity planning and performance tuning initiatives. Maintain database documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science or related field.2–5 years of hands-on experience as an MS SQL Database Administrator. Experience in high-availability environments, replication, backup, and recovery solutions. Experience with SQL Query Language is a must. Experience with Windows server, including Active Directory. Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO). Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server. Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
