Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals. Conduct training needs assessments to identify skills gaps and learning opportunities within the workforce. Design, develop, and facilitate training programs, workshops, and seminars for various employee levels. Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Collaborate with department heads to ensure training initiatives meet operational needs and enhance safety practices. Lead and mentor a team of training specialists, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to training and development. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred. Proven experience in a learning and development role, preferably within the mining and metals industry. Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse teams. Demonstrated ability to assess training needs and develop tailored programs to address them. Strong analytical skills to measure the effectiveness of training initiatives and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
