Job Summary:

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of import and export operations, including shipping, customs clearance, documentation preparation, and delivery coordination. This role ensures the efficient and timely import of goods in compliance with local and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Planning, coordinating, and tracking all import shipments from origin to final delivery.

- Liaising with suppliers, shipping companies, customs brokers, and freight lines.

- Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).

- Strong experience in dealing with relevant parties to complete imported shipments at the best time and cost.

- Managing customs clearance operations and ensuring compliance with import regulations and trade laws.

- Proficiency in using import and export transaction software such as Nafeza and CargoX.
- Tracking shipments and proactively resolving any delays or issues.

- Negotiating rates with shipping and transport companies to optimize costs and service levels.

- Update the import logistics database and prepare periodic reports on shipment status, costs, and performance.

- Collaborate with internal departments (procurement, finance, and warehousing) to align import activities with business needs.

- Monitor and manage demurrage charges, detention fees, and other potential costs.

- Stay up-to-date on international trade regulations, customs tariffs, and logistics trends.
