About this Role We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to design and implement BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. The individual will develop data models, create dashboards and reports, and ensure alignment with enterprise information architecture. This role also involves guiding junior developers, translating business requirements into actionable insights, and maintaining high standards of data governance.
What you’ll do
- Guide and mentor junior developers, acting as a technical reference within the team.
- Translate business requirements into specifications for reports and dashboards.
- Develop and maintain data models and integration processes across multiple source systems.
- Document BI subject areas and ensure compliance with enterprise architecture standards.
- Create reports and dashboards to deliver actionable insights for business decisions.
- Investigate data sources and transport technologies for optimal data freshness and reliability.
- Respond to issues in databases, data processes, and BI services promptly.
- Collect, cleanse, and interpret data to derive meaningful insights.
- Map systems and interfaces used to manage data effectively.
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Business Intelligence.
- Strong understanding of data warehouse and BI concepts, data modelling, and governance.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools for ETL, data transformation, and visualisation (Datameer and Splunk are a plus).
- Proficient in designing dashboards, cubes, and KPIs.
- Knowledge of Big Data and Data Science technologies.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in international, distributed teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude.
