JOB PURPOSE

 

Plans, develops, implements and administers human resources programs and associated, multiple projects to achieve strategic business goals and operational objectives.

 

Handles the implementation of policies and programs covering Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development and Employer Branding.

Budgets and Plans

  • Contribute to the preparation of the talent management section budget and monitor financial performance versus the budget so that the business is aware of anticipated costs/revenues and areas of unsatisfactory performance are identified.

 

 

  • Budgets and plans are monitored in line with the annual budget parameters and timescales

 

  • Financial variance versus budget

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

  • Recommend improvements to policy and direct the implementation of instructions covering all areas of the talent management activity so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements are fulfilled while delivering a quality, cost-effective service.

 

  • Compliance with procedural and legislative requirements
  • Effective communication of policies, procedures and instructions

Day- To- Day operations

  • Supervises the day-to-day operations of talent management to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems to ensure integration and sharing of best practices.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and recommend needed changes.

 

 

 

 

  • Day-to-day operations are consistent with established policies, processes and procedures

Learning & Development

  • Review and participate in the implementation of company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate implementation of the performance management system.
  • Analyse the performance appraisal output and report it to direct manager and recommend the needed changes.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counselling employees and supervisors.
  • Ensure Setting the SMARTs for all Managerial & Supervisory Level cascading from the business objective.
  • Build and update company organization structure according to the business strategy and Excellence.
  • Conduct Assessment Center operations to evaluate the potential and caliber employees and select the Business Pillars key Persons and Successors.
  • Participate on setting the succession planning activities to prepare a successor for the critical and important positions.
  • Conduct the orientation program for the newcomers of managerial level for smoothly on-boarding & to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives
  • Maintain the Skills Inventory is updated and utilized for the succession planning and internal hiring .
  • Supervise the job analysis and job description development process.
  • Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis, career paths, annual performance appraisals and consultation with line managers.
  • Supervise the implementation of the training plan to cover all training needs as per company policy.
  • Manage training budget.
  • Follow up on the process of measuring training effectiveness.

 

 

  • All company policy and procedures are existent.
  • Performance management system is accurately implemented.
  • Performance appraisal output is accurately reported to direct manager on time.
  • SMARTs for all Managerial & Supervisory Level are accurately set.
  • Company organization structure is updated

Talent Acquisition

  • Prepare annual manpower plan and supervise its implementation during the year.
  • Maintain using different recruitment channels to fulfil recruitment plan.
  • Explores the market best practices in the recruitment and staffing and implement appropriate best practices in the organization
  • Monitors and constantly reduces the cost of the recruitment process.
  • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counselling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • Participate in the interviewing process as per the interview matrix.
  • Conduct the job offers & Contracts process and coordinate with the personnel section concerning new hires.
  • Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to job applicants.
  • Maintain the updates of the employees on system and administer the promotions, employees transfer process.
  • The annual manpower plan is fully implemented on time as per planned.
  • Different recruitment channels are used to fulfil recruitment plan.
  • The cost of the recruitment process is constantly reduced.
  • Interview candidates as per the interview matrix.
  • The job offers process is accurately handled.
  

Projects

  • Supervise the implementation of projects to ensure that the project cycle is completed, meeting agreed project parameters (cost budget, timelines, scope and quality), standards and objectives

 

  • The project cycle is completed in line with plans and agreed project parameters and standards

Continuous Improvement

  • Stimulate subordinates and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of section systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement

 

  • Number and quality of improvements are line with corporate expectations and implemented

Reporting

  • Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate reports about recruitment, training and organization development functions   to meet Savola and department requirements, policies and standards

 

  • All reports are prepared timely and accurately and meet company policies and requirements
