- Manage the end-to-end procurement process for steel materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing to support project requirements.
- Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, reliability, and compliance with company standards and project specifications.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors to secure optimal terms and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, and construction teams to forecast material needs and align procurement activities with project schedules.
- Monitor inventory levels, track shipments, and oversee logistics to ensure on-time delivery of steel materials to project sites.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, assess market trends, and benchmark pricing for steel products.
- Prepare and maintain accurate procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier performance records.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements in the procurement of steel materials.
- Resolve any issues related to material quality, delivery delays, or supplier performance in a timely and effective manner.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.5 to 6 years of proven experience in steel material procurement, preferably within the construction or industrial sector.Strong understanding of steel grades, specifications, and industry standards.Demonstrated experience in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to analyze market trends and make data-driven purchasing decisions.Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of logistics, shipping, and inventory management best practices.Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
