Graphic Designer

Key Responsibilities

Design and Production:

Conceptualize and create visual content (e.g., illustrations, logos, layouts, photos) for websites, social media, advertisements, product packaging, presentations, print materials (brochures, magazines, reports), and more.

Select appropriate colors, typography, and layouts for each graphic project.

Prepare rough drafts of designs and present finalized ideas and concepts to clients or internal teams.

Revise and amend designs based on feedback and ensure final graphics are visually appealing and on-brand.

Collaboration and Strategy:

Meet with clients, account managers, or marketing teams to discuss project objectives, requirements, and budget.

Collaborate with copywriters, creative directors, and other team members to ensure design aligns with overall messaging and strategy.

Maintain and evolve the visual identity and brand guidelines.

Technical and Administrative:

Utilize industry-standard design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Figma) to execute designs.

Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and work methodically to meet tight deadlines.

Prepare and export files for various outputs (e.g., web-ready, print-ready) and liaise with external printers or production teams as needed.

Stay up-to-date with emerging design trends, technologies, and software.

✅ Required Skills and Qualifications

Education & Experience:

Typically a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

Proven experience as a Graphic Designer (often 2+ years for a mid-level role).

A strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, versatility, and execution of design projects.

Technical Proficiency:

Expert knowledge of design software, particularly the Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, layout, color theory, and typography.

Familiarity with preparing files for both digital and print production.

Soft Skills:

Exceptional creativity and innovative design thinking.

Excellent communication and presentation skills to interpret briefs and explain design rationale.

Accuracy and strong attention to detail.

Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
