Job Summary of Procurement Officer:
The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The role focuses on maintaining strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in line with approved requisitions.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve quality or delivery issues.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Coordinate with finance, warehouse, and end-user departments to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and ethical standards.
- Support cost-saving and value improvement initiatives.
- Prepare procurement reports and spend analysis.

Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field.2–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain.Skills & Competencies:Strong negotiation and communication skills.Analytical and problem-solving abilities.Good knowledge of sourcing and supplier management.Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
