Job Summary The Supply Acquisition Lead is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and onboarding new suppliers and workshops to expand the company’s manufacturing network for decorative lighting production. Also responsible for overseeing outsourced production activities and managing relationships with external workshops and suppliers. This includes sourcing and qualifying manufacturing partners, directing all processes, and resolving supplier conflicts. The role is critical to ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-efficient production across all material categories.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Identify new suppliers, Source, and onboard external workshops and suppliers. Evaluate supplier capabilities, pricing, quality, and capacity. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and supply agreements. Maintain and continuously update a supplier database and cost sheets. Work with R&D and production teams to source specialized/custom materials. Act as a single point of contact for all external production escalations. Develop and maintain production plans based on the order pipeline and capacity constraints Ensure suppliers meet SOP, quality, and delivery requirements. Monitor supplier performance: timeliness, quality, rejections, cost changes. Onboard new suppliers and ensure proper documentation (contracts, KYC, etc.). Coordinate with Finance on vendor payments, invoicing, and compliance. Handle conflicts with suppliers, including quality disputes, delivery issues, and miscommunication. Expand SAL’s supplier network by sourcing and evaluating new workshops, machinery, equipment, and skilled labor to support both external and internal production growth. Drive supplier quality enhancement by monitoring performance, reducing rejections, and ensuring alignment with SAL’s technical and operational standards. Lead supplier onboarding, negotiations, and capability assessments to ensure reliable, cost-effective production capacity. Support internal production expansion by sourcing specialized tools, equipment, and technical labor required for setting up new in-house capabilities.

Required Background Experience in manufacturing, production, or sourcing management roles. Preferably has a background in the lighting industry. Proven track record in managing subcontractors and production scheduling.
