- Contract & Scope Review: Review project documents, contracts, and specifications to understand the security system scope, requirements, and expected deliverables.
- Requirement Analysis: Gather and interpret client, operational, and site requirements to define the design criteria for security systems.
- System Design Development: Prepare conceptual and detailed designs for CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, intercom, and related security systems.
- Technical Proposal Development: Prepare design narratives, compliance documents, and supporting material for submissions and tenders.
- BOQ Preparation: Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and equipment lists based on the approved design and project needs.
- Proof of Concept (PoC): Support or participate in PoC activities to confirm that proposed systems or equipment meet project expectations.
- Equipment Selection: Recommend suitable security system components that meet performance, compatibility, and project requirements.
- Integration Coordination: Work with internal design teams to ensure security systems coordinate smoothly with other design teams and systems.
- Value Engineering: Suggest alternative design options to improve cost efficiency, functionality, or ease of implementation while maintaining standards.
- Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors for product information, technical clarifications, and evaluation of equivalent solutions.
- Vendor Evaluation: Review equipment options and available technologies to ensure compatibility with project requirements.
- Client & Consultant Engagement: Participate in technical meetings to present design concepts, address comments, and incorporate required adjustments.
- Design Revision & Documentation Control: Update drawings and documents based on reviews, feedback, or design changes, ensuring proper version control.
- Implementation Support: Provide design-related support to site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning to ensure alignment with the approved design.
- Technical Compliance: Ensure all design deliverables follow project specifications, security system standards, and coordination requirements.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain organized records, design documentation, and progress updates to support the project workflow.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.Experience: 3-5 years of total experience specifically in security system design.Technical Knowledge: Essential understanding of CCTV, ACS, IDS, and intercom systems, including system topology, device selection, and integration workflows.Documentation Skills: Proven experience in preparing design submittals, schematics, technical documentation, and BOQs.Core Competencies: Experience working with cross-functional design teams and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, consultants, and internal teams.Language: Fluency in English is essential.
