- Coordinate and manage all import logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to track and monitor shipments.
- Prepare and review import documentation, including bills of lading, invoices, and certificates of origin.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
- Resolve issues related to shipment delays, customs clearance, and transportation discrepancies.
- Negotiate rates and terms with logistics service providers to optimize costs and service levels.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate receipt of imported goods.
- Maintain accurate records of all import transactions and logistics activities.
- Analyze logistics data to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Provide regular updates and reports to management on shipment status and logistics performance.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in import logistics, international shipping, or supply chain management.Strong understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures.Proficiency in arranging the ACID number for each invoice on the Nafeza system.Proven ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and negotiation skills for dealing with vendors and service providers.Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.Familiarity with documentation and compliance requirements for international trade.Strong analytical skills to assess logistics performance and identify improvements.Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
