● Prepare and review electrical shop drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation in accordance with project specifications and standards.
● Coordinate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within overall project plans.
● Conduct quantity take-offs, prepare bill of quantities (BOQ), and assist in cost estimation for electrical works.
● Review and interpret project contracts, technical specifications, and design drawings to ensure compliance and resolve discrepancies.
● Provide technical support to site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning phases.
● Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations, technical data, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
● Participate in value engineering and propose alternative solutions to optimize project costs and timelines.
● Prepare progress reports, technical presentations, and documentation for internal and client meetings.
● Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements in all technical office activities.
● Assist in resolving technical issues and responding to RFIs (Requests for Information) from site teams and clients.
● Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.● 3 to 6 years of proven experience in a technical office engineering role within the construction industry.● Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and standards relevant to residential, industrial, and infrastructure projects.● Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other electrical design software.● Experience in preparing shop drawings, BOQs, and technical submittals.● Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.● Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative office environment.● Strong communication skills for coordination with multidisciplinary teams.● Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.● Familiarity with project management tools and documentation processes.
