To manage, analyze, and control project costs to ensure completion within approved budgets. The Senior Cost Control Engineer is responsible for budget development, cost tracking, forecasting, and providing accurate cost-related data to support effective decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

✅ Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project budgets, monitor commitments, expenditures, and forecasts.
• Review and verify cost estimates and pricing for new proposals or change orders.
• Monitor and report actual costs vs. budget, analyze variances, and provide cost trend analyses.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and update based on project progress and cost performance.
• Collaborate with planning engineers to align cost data with project schedules and progress.
• Analyze quantities, productivity rates, unit costs, and earned value to support performance evaluation.
• Maintain and update cost control systems and tools, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Support the change management process, assessing cost impacts of scope changes.
• Participate in project reviews and prepare detailed monthly cost reports for internal and client use.
• Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and construction teams to gather relevant cost data.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Finance.
• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in cost control or project controls, especially in construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Proficiency in cost control software (e.g., Primavera P6, SAP, Oracle, CCS Candy).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Solid understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, and earned value management (EVM).
• Ability to interpret technical documents, BOQs, and contract terms.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• CCP (Certified Cost Professional) – AACE
