Site Engineer

The Site Engineer will oversee all technical, coordination, and site-related activities from the design stage through to project close-out and handover. The role requires strong engineering judgment, effective communication, and the ability to liaise seamlessly between designers, consultants, and contractors. The candidate must demonstrate strong problem-solving capabilities to ensure that project objectives are achieved with high quality, on schedule, and within budget.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

Technical & Coordination Duties

Liaise with designers, consulting offices, and contractors to address technical queries and ensure timely resolutions.

Review, interpret, and validate technical drawings, plans, and specifications to guide construction activities.

Respond to RFI’s, technical inquiries, and site issues in coordination with the design team.

Coordinate design revisions and ensure proper communication of changes to all relevant parties.
 

Site Supervision

Supervise daily site operations to ensure work is executed according to approved drawings, standards, and project milestones.

Conduct regular site inspections to identify, report, and resolve potential issues, discrepancies, or risks.

Monitor the quality of materials, workmanship, and installations to ensure compliance with project specifications.
 

Project Control & Reporting

Prepare and maintain detailed site reports, progress updates, logs, and documentation.

Track progress against schedule and flag delays or deviations proactively.

Support in ensuring tasks are completed within allocated budgets and timelines.
 

Resource Management

Oversee the allocation and efficient utilization of materials, equipment, and manpower.

Coordinate with subcontractors to maintain workflow continuity and resolve operational challenges.

 

Communication 

Act as the primary technical liaison representing the owner at site level.

Attend coordination meetings with project managers, consultants, and contractors.

Provide clear, concise project updates and address concerns raised by clients or stakeholders.
 

Problem Solving

Identify technical challenges and propose practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.

Facilitate agreement between designers, consultants, and contractors when conflicts arise.


Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.Proven experience in site supervision and multi-disciplinary coordination.Minimum of 10 years of experience in a site engineering role.Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and engineering standards.Excellent problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and make on-the-spot decisions.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and using project documentation tools.Knowledge of CAD, ETAP, SAFE, and Revit is highly preferred.Familiarity with safety regulations, quality control procedures, and industry best practices.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a practical, solution-oriented mindset.Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
