- Analyze and review electrical tender documents, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and material take-offs for electrical systems in line with tender requirements.
- Coordinate with design, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary technical and commercial information.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and ensure competitive pricing for electrical components.
- Evaluate and assess risks associated with electrical tenders and propose mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive tender proposals, ensuring compliance with client specifications and deadlines.
- Participate in pre-tender and post-tender meetings, clarifying technical queries and negotiating terms as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations relevant to electrical systems.
- Support the project team during contract award and handover, providing technical input and clarifications.
- Continuously improve tendering processes and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering .3 to 5 years of proven experience in electrical tendering, estimation, or bidding within the construction industry.Strong understanding of electrical systems, drawings, and specifications.Proficiency in preparing cost estimates, bills of quantities, and technical proposals.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.Effective communication and negotiation abilities for dealing with suppliers and clients.Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in electrical engineering.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced office environment.Strong organizational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software.
