Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering:
- Engage with business users to understand sales, distribution, pricing, billing, and order-to-cash processes.
- Document functional requirements, business workflows, and process gaps.
- Translate business requirements into SAP SD solutions, considering integration with other SAP modules.
2. SAP SD Configuration & Implementation:
- Configure SAP SD modules including Sales Order Management, Pricing, Billing, Shipping, Credit Management, and Customer Master.
- Set up delivery processing, route determination, tax procedures, and condition techniques.
- Ensure proper integration with SAP MM, FICO, and other relevant modules.
- Support SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades with SD module configuration.
3. Testing & Quality Assurance:
- Prepare and execute Unit Test Scripts, Integration Test Scripts, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support the technical team in troubleshooting issues and resolving defects during testing.
- Ensure SAP SD solutions meet business requirements and operate effectively.
4. Documentation & Training:
- Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, and custom developments.
- Develop training materials and conduct end-user training sessions for SAP SD users.
- Maintain documentation of SAP SD configurations, workflows, and best practices.
5. Support & Continuous Improvement:
- Provide post-implementation support for SAP SD module issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and optimize SAP SD functionalities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent business processes across the organization.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an SAP SD Functional Consultant.
- Strong knowledge of order-to-cash processes, sales, pricing, shipping, and billing in SAP.
- Experience with SAP configuration, customization, and integration with other modules.
- Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA and SAP best practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
- SAP SD Certification.
- Experience with SAP Fiori apps for SD processes.
- Familiarity with reporting tools such as SAP BW or Analytics Cloud.
- Prior experience in large-scale SAP implementations, rollouts, or global projects.
- Knowledge of industry-specific sales and distribution processes (e.g., retail, manufacturing, or logistics).
