- Prepare the shop drawing list (E1) and material list and manage the submission of shop drawings based on project planning schedules.
- Review and validate structural shop drawings derived from IFC design provided by the consultant or employer.
- Lead and manage the structural team to ensure shop drawings are delivered within the approved time and quality standards.
- Follow up on structural technical issues, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, and codes.
- Review contract documents including drawings, BOQ, and specifications for completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct daily coordination with Architectural and MEP teams to ensure fully integrated and clash-free drawings.
- Hold weekly meetings with the team to align with project progress and targets.
- Attend site coordination meetings to update engineering documentation based on site progress.
- Identify and resolve potential technical issues to ensure constructible structural drawings.
- Coordinate all technical matters between engineering, construction, procurement, and subcontractors.
- Review subcontractors’ shop drawings and confirm compliance with design intent prior to formal submission.
- Assist the Section Head in managing logs (events, additional items, lessons learned) and maintaining documentation accuracy.
- Evaluate subcontractors’ performance based on quality and timeliness and share evaluation with Procurement.
- Ensure the implementation of engineering methodology and regular progress follow-up with the engineering team.
Minimum 7:10 years of relevant ExperienceBachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering.Proficiency in AutoCAD, ASD and Revit Structure.Understanding of structural systems (RC, steel, foundations, slabs, etc.).Familiarity with coordination between structural and MEP/architectural elements.Strong experience in preparing and reviewing structural shop drawings.Proficiency in BIM and clash detection tools (Revit, Navisworks).Good understanding of structural design principles and code compliance.Ability to review BOQ and identify discrepancies with IFC drawings.Excellent knowledge of construction detailing and technical coordination.
