- Develop, implement, and monitor Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures in alignment with local and international standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits across agricultural, manufacturing, and distribution operations to identify and mitigate hazards.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurrence.
- Deliver HSE training programs and workshops to employees at all levels, fostering a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, and certification requirements, including Fair Trade, Naturland, Biosuisse, JAS, and NOP standards.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and corrective actions, and prepare detailed reports for management review.
- Coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate HSE best practices into daily operations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and manage the use, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials to minimize environmental impact.
- Stay updated on emerging HSE trends, technologies, and regulations to proactively enhance workplace safety and sustainability.
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.2-4 years of proven experience in an HSE role within agricultural, manufacturing, or distribution environments.Strong knowledge of local and international HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.Experience conducting risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively train and engage employees.Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and present findings to management.Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HSE management software.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Commitment to continuous professional development in HSE practices.
