As a senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the following:
- Cash Management
- Handle and monitor the Head Office petty cash including all receipts, payments, and daily reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit daily/weekly cash reports to management.
- Stations’ Advances & Settlements
- Review and record stations’ cash advances and expense settlements.
- Ensure that all supporting documents are accurate, valid, and comply with company policies.
- Follow up on outstanding advances and reconcile balances on a regular basis.
- Inventory & Stock Movements
- Record and track inventory units’ movements between stores, stations, and consumption.
- Verify stock records against physical counts and prepare adjustment entries when necessary.
- Maintain updated and accurate inventory registers.
- Banking & General Ledger
- Participate in maintaining and reconciling bank accounts, including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
- Assist in recording and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Support in handling suppliers’ accounts, including invoice matching, payments, and reconciliations.
- Backup Support
- Act as a Station Accountant replacement when required to ensure smooth continuation of operations
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced or service-oriented industry.Proven expertise in financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end/year-end close processes.Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS) and relevant regulatory requirements.Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in work.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in an on-site environment.
