- Prepare, review, and coordinate detailed structural shop drawings in accordance with project specifications, codes, and standards.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure drawing accuracy.
- Interpret structural design intent and translate it into comprehensive shop drawings for construction teams.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on all shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry best practices.
- Coordinate with contractors and site teams to address drawing-related queries and provide technical support during construction.
- Update and revise shop drawings based on design changes, site conditions, and client feedback.
- Ensure timely submission of shop drawings and related documentation to meet project schedules.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and correspondence for project documentation.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss drawing progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and draftsmen in shop drawing preparation and quality standards.
Bachelor’s degree in civil or Structural Engineering 6 to 8 years of proven experience in structural shop drawing preparation within engineering consultancy or construction environments.Expertise in interpreting structural design documents and translating them into detailed shop drawings.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit is Mandatory and other relevant structural detailing software.Strong knowledge of international and regional building codes and standards.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, error-free drawings.Effective communication and coordination skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Experience in resolving technical issues and providing on-site drawing support.Demonstrated leadership in mentoring junior staff and promoting best practices.
