Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement national parts business strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
- Forecast market trends, customer demands Brand wise, and competitor movements to support parts business growth.
- Set annual parts sales and gross profit targets, budgets, and performance KPIs.
- Drive innovation and digitization in parts operations, ordering systems, and inventory control.
Parts Management Duties
- Oversee the complete parts lifecycle: sourcing, procurement, warehousing, distribution, and obsolescence control.
- Ensure optimum inventory levels are maintained across all branches and outlets.
- Develop parts pricing strategies considering market, cost, and brand positioning.
- Lead product mix optimization including fast-moving, slow-moving, and deadstock items.
- Collaborate with OEMs and suppliers for supply chain efficiency, promotional campaigns, recalls, and warranty parts handling.
Operations Management
- Monitor and streamline warehouse and logistics operations to reduce delivery time and costs.
- Implement best practices in storage, handling, safety, and inventory accuracy (e.g., cycle counts, audits).
- Optimize order fulfillment, delivery rate, and customer service levels.
- Ensure timely availability of critical parts for service workshops, e- commerce and retail counters.
- Monitor Parts KPIs Dashboard in timely manner and take the necessary action accordingly.
Financial Performance
- Drive revenue growth, cost efficiency, and margin improvement in parts operations.
- Monitor P&L performance for parts division and regional parts centers.
- Control working capital tied in inventory through effective turnover management.
- Set pricing and discount structures, Channel wise to improve profitability without compromising competitiveness.
- Generate & analyze monthly/quarterly financials to identify variances and corrective actions.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop parts managers/Supervisors, inventory controllers.
- Build a high-performance culture through goal setting, training, performance reviews, and recommends for career development.
- Establish cross-functional collaboration with service, logistics, finance, and marketing teams.
- Foster a customer-centric and safety-first team environment.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, OEM standards, and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular audits on inventory accuracy, safety protocols, and parts return processes.
- Enforce documentation, traceability, and reporting standards across all warehouses.
- Implement 5S, lean warehousing, or ERP-based compliance processes.
Relationship Management
- Maintain strategic relationships with OEMs, aftermarket suppliers, freight agents, and distributors.
- Collaborate with service centers, satellites & e-commerce to align parts supply with their requirements.
- Coordinate with marketing teams on seasonal campaigns, product launches, and accessories bundling.
- Handle escalations related to critical part availability, delivery delays, or quality issues.
Education Level: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain.Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in automotive parts management, with at least 5 years in a parts management role.MBA or certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS, CPIM) is preferred.Deep knowledge of OEM and aftermarket parts, procurement, and distribution.Strong analytical and decision-making skills.Excellent leadership and people management capabilities.Financial and commercial acumen, including budgeting and profitability management.Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, DMS), inventory modules, and KPIs dashboards.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
