- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, ensuring continuity of learning.
- Follow lesson plans and instructions provided by the absent teacher, adapting as necessary to meet student needs.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Support students’ academic and social development across a range of subjects and year groups.
- Provide feedback to regular teachers regarding student progress, participation, and any issues encountered.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, break times, and transitions as required.
- Collaborate with teaching staff and school leadership to ensure smooth handover and effective communication.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to lesson delivery, attendance, and classroom management.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international or British curriculum school.Maximum of 5 years of relevant experience in a classroom or educational setting.Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.Strong classroom management and organizational skills.Ability to adapt quickly to new classroom environments and subject areas.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and school leadership.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Flexibility to cover a range of subjects and year groups as needed.Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development.
