Job Summary:
- The Sales Engineer is responsible for assisting with the selling of complex scientific and technological products or services, maintaining extensive knowledge of the products' parts, functions, and processes, and assisting to close sales where technical expertise may be required to fit the clients' needs.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Present and demonstrate Shell’s product portfolio and services to potential clients.
- Identify and target new clients to expand our customer base.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of suppliers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through proactive follow-ups and effective after-sales service.
- Provide technical support to clients to ensure they get the most value from our products.
- Keep clients informed about new product launches and service offerings.
- Recommend the proper lubricants and their equivalents to help clients achieve their goals efficiently.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely price offers.
- Coordinate with the head office to secure credit approvals and ensure invoices are delivered promptly.
- Collect payments from clients and submit them to the head office.
Education:Bachelor's Degree (e.g., BSc, BEng) in Mechanical Engineering.Job Knowledge and experience:1-5 years of experience in a sales and technical role, specifically with lubricants and their applications.Strong engineering knowledge related to industrial or transportation sectors. Skills and competencies:Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and practical experience with an ERP system is essential.Strong interpersonal skills and a solid technical background.Excellent customer service, analytical thinking,.High level of attention to detail.
