Digital Project Controls Lead

Role Overview

The Digital Project Controls Lead plays a pivotal role in bridging traditional project control disciplines with digital intelligence. This position oversees the planning, scheduling, cost management, risk, and performance reporting of major projects — while driving the integration of data analytics, automation, and Power BI dashboards to enhance project visibility and decision-making.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in project controls with strong data analysis skills and a forward-thinking approach to digital transformation in construction and infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Planning & Scheduling

Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules (baseline, forecast, and updates) using Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Coordinate with project managers and discipline leads to ensure schedule accuracy, dependencies, and resource alignment.

Perform critical path analysis and scenario modeling for proactive schedule management.

2. Cost & Performance Management

Monitor project budgets, expenditures, and cash flow forecasts using cost management tools.

Conduct earned value management (EVM), variance analysis (CPI, SPI), and performance trending.

Integrate cost and schedule data with digital dashboards for real-time project performance visualization.

3. Digital Integration & Analytics

Design and implement automated project control systems connecting Primavera, Excel, and Power BI through Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).

Develop advanced dashboards and data models to consolidate multiple project data sources (schedules, costs, risks, KPIs).

Enable predictive analytics and executive-level insights for data-driven decision-making.

4. Risk & Change Management

Maintain and update project risk registers, identify mitigation strategies, and quantify potential impacts.

Track and evaluate change requests, assessing their influence on cost, scope, and schedule.

Integrate risk and change data into automated reports and dashboards.

5. Governance & Compliance

Ensure all project controls align with corporate standards, ISO 19650 principles, and best practices.

Support audits, reporting cycles, and governance documentation through digital platforms.
