- Design and develop comprehensive firefighting systems for a variety of building types and sectors, ensuring compliance with local and international codes.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and specifications for fire protection systems including sprinklers, hydrants, pumps, and detection systems.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and system sizing to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, civil, and MEP engineers to integrate firefighting systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
- Review and interpret project requirements, client specifications, and regulatory standards to deliver compliant and effective solutions.
- Participate in site visits and inspections to assess existing systems, gather data, and support installation and commissioning activities.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and submittals for client and authority approvals.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and installation of firefighting systems.
- Assist in value engineering exercises to optimize system performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements, codes, and best practices in fire protection engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.1 to 3 years of experience in firefighting system design or related engineering roles.Familiarity with local and international fire protection codes and standards (e.g., NFPA, BS, EN).Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and other relevant design software.Strong understanding of hydraulic calculations and system sizing.Excellent technical documentation and report writing skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Willingness to conduct site visits and support field activities as required.
