- Prepare detailed and accurate mechanical cost estimates for engineering and construction projects based on project specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
- Analyze project requirements, technical documents, and scope of work to identify cost factors and potential risks.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary data and ensure alignment on project objectives.
- Solicit and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials, equipment, and services.
- Develop and maintain cost databases, historical records, and estimation tools to support ongoing and future projects.
- Prepare and present comprehensive cost estimation reports, including breakdowns of labor, materials, equipment, and overheads.
- Participate in value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
- Support the tendering process by preparing bid documents, responding to client queries, and assisting in negotiations as required.
- Monitor and update estimates throughout the project lifecycle to reflect changes in scope, design, or market conditions.
- Ensure all cost estimation activities adhere to company policies, industry standards, and client requirements.
  Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 3 years and maximum of 5 years of experience in mechanical cost estimation within the engineering, construction, or contracting industry.Proven experience in preparing cost estimates for mechanical systems, equipment, and installations.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced office environment.Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and best practices related to mechanical systems and cost estimation.Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
