Purpose of the Job
To   manage backup and recovery processes, maintaining environments, and   implementing storage solutions to meet organizational needs.

1.        Design, configure, and   maintain enterprise-level backup and recovery solutions
2.        Manage and monitor backup   schedules and ensure that backups are performed according to defined policies   and procedures
3.        Perform regular backups   and test the restore processes to ensure data recoverability
4.        Implement and maintain   backup policies, retention periods, and archival procedures
5.        Troubleshoot backup   failures and perform root cause analysis to address underlying issues
6.        Collaborate with   infrastructure and application teams to ensure backup and recovery   requirements are met
7.        Work with vendors to   evaluate and implement new backup technologies and solutions
8.        Ensure compliance with   data protection regulations and standards
9.        Create and maintain   detailed documentation of backup procedures and configurations

- Bachelor degree in engineering or   computer science from a recognized university.
  
 
 
  
  
Experience.
   - Minimum 3 - 6 years        of experience in systems data protection services
- Proven experience        working with backup systems.
- Proven experience with        SAN storage systems.
- Experience with        backup software (e.g., Dell Avamar, HPM RMC, Veritas NetBackup,        Commvault) 
- Experience with SAN        technologies (e.g., EMC, Brocade).
- Very Good knowledge        in Linux/Windows operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of        backup and recovery methodologies.
