Job Summary:
To maintain and develop cost accounting systems, analyze manufacturing and operational costs, and prepare reports for management that identify cost-saving opportunities and explain variances.
Key Duties:
- Develop, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of the company's cost accounting system and related ledgers.
- Analyze manufacturing costs, including raw materials, labor, and overhead.
- Perform periodic and variance analysis, comparing standard costs to actual costs to ensure cost efficiency, and explaining variances to management.
- Analyze and report on gross margin, product profitability, and other financial metrics.
- Compile cost information to support the preparation of annual budgets.
- Develop cost forecasts and projections.
- Analyze inventory trends and manage inventory costs.
- Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Recommend cost efficiencies for new products or processes.
- Work with operations and other departments to identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved efficiency.
- Analyze changes in product design, materials, or methods to determine cost effects.
- Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Provide timely and accurate financial data to support management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in cost accounting in the F&B Manufacturing or FMCG industries is a must. - Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. - Strong analytical thinking and financial reporting abilities. - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - High attention to detail with a results-oriented mindset. - Alexandria residents only.
