We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Django REST Framework (DRF) and solid experience in DevOps and cloud infrastructure. You will play a key role in designing and building scalable backend systems, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability across our platform. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys owning backend architecture and deployment pipelines end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Django REST Framework.
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend services.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust features.
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automated deployments.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure ( AWS ).
- Ensure best practices for security, testing, and code quality.
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements.
5+ years of backend development experience, with at least 3 years using Django & Django REST Framework.Strong understanding of Python, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), and caching strategies.Hands-on experience with DevOps practices: containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).Proven experience managing cloud environments (AWS) including networking, scaling, and cost optimization.Knowledge of application security and best practices in distributed systems.Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems is a plus. Preferred QualificationsExperience with Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.Exposure to monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, etc.).Strong communication and mentoring skills.
