- Plan, organize, and oversee daily operations of the steel fabrication shop/plant.
- Ensure production targets, schedules, and quality standards are met.
- Supervise cutting, welding, machining, assembly, and finishing processes.
- Coordinate with planning, procurement, and project management teams to ensure material availability and timely project delivery.
- Lead, train, and supervise technicians, foremen, and workers in the shop.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance to ensure efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies and procedures by all team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to maintain compliance with standards and project specifications.
- Enforce occupational health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of machines, tools, and workplace to ensure safety and reliability.
- Ensure proper utilization of equipment, manpower, and materials.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and tools.
- Monitor inventory of raw materials, consumables, and spare parts.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience operating mechanical machines in Steel structure factories, including : - Boring machines -Vertical lathes - Horizontal lathesProven experience in operating and programming CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.Strong ability to manage personnel and production planning.Solid understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Excellent leadership and organizational capabilities.Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using design software.Good command of English is a plus.
