- Maintain general ledger accuracy and ensure timely financial closing in compliance with standards.
- General Ledger Management
- Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording and classification of financial transactions.
- Perform complex account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, intercompany accounts, and balance sheet accounts.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in the general ledger promptly.
- Financial Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Support the Financial Controller in preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data for audits and regulatory requirements.
- Month-End & Year-End Close
- Lead and execute month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Coordinate with other finance team members to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to streamline general ledger processes and implement best practices.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software to enhance efficiency.
- Compliance & Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
- Team Collaboration
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants or other finance staff as needed.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting needs.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred, Ex audit firm is highly recommended.5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2-3 years focused on general ledger accounting.Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Odoo) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
