- Assist in the preparation and review of bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tender documents for civil engineering projects.
- Support the measurement and valuation of work completed on-site, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to monitor project progress and resolve any discrepancies in quantities or costs.
- Conduct site visits to gather data and verify quantities for ongoing and completed work.
- Assist in the assessment and certification of subcontractor payments and variations.
- Maintain up-to-date records of project costs, contracts, and correspondence.
- Participate in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for project stakeholders.
- Support the negotiation and administration of contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Contribute to value engineering and cost-saving initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.2-4 years of relevant experience in civil quantity surveying or cost engineering.Familiarity with construction contracts, tendering processes, and cost control procedures.Strong analytical and numerical skills with a keen attention to detail.Proficiency in MS Office Suite and quantity surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX, or similar).Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with project teams.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and documentation skills.Willingness to conduct site visits and work in an office-based environment.Commitment to professional development and continuous learning.
