Job Summary
The Crew Trainer is responsible for providing on-the-job training and guidance to new and existing employees. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of all operational procedures and a commitment to upholding company standards in all areas, including customer service, food preparation, and safety. The Crew Trainer acts as a role model, coach, and support system for the team, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Training and Development:
Conduct on-the-job training for new hires, covering all aspects of their job duties.
Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to team members to improve their skills and knowledge.
Demonstrate proper techniques and best practices for tasks such as taking orders, preparing food, and operating equipment.
Help new employees get acclimated to the workplace culture and their role.
Operational Support:
Perform all the duties of a regular crew member, including serving customers, handling transactions, and preparing products.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including food safety and sanitation standards.
Assist management with daily operations, such as delegating tasks, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and organized workplace.
Act as a first line of support for team members, addressing questions and concerns as they arise.
Leadership and Communication:
Act as a positive role model for all crew members, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Communicate clearly and effectively with both team members and management.
Provide constructive feedback to team members and report on their progress to management.
Help foster a collaborative and supportive team environment
- Deliver comprehensive training sessions to new and existing crew members on bakery, pastry, and food production processes.
- Ensure all team members adhere to company standards, food safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Monitor crew performance and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Develop and update training materials, manuals, and checklists to reflect best practices and new product launches.
- Facilitate hands-on demonstrations and practical workshops to enhance skill development.
- Support onboarding and orientation of new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the team.
- Collaborate with management to identify training needs and implement targeted development programs.
- Maintain accurate training records and track progress of individual crew members.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and motivating work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale.
- Assist with daily operations as needed, ensuring seamless service and product quality.
1-4 years of experience in a food production, bakery, or hospitality environment.Proven ability to train, mentor, and motivate team members.Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and quality standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.Demonstrated organizational and time management abilities.Adaptability to changing priorities and operational needs.Attention to detail and commitment to excellence.Proficiency in using training tools and documentation.Willingness to work onsite and flexible hours as required.
