- Quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements based on project scope and technical documentation.
- Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost breakdowns for electrical systems and components.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of competitive bids and tenders for electrical projects.
- Review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Maintain and update a database of unit costs, historical data, and estimation tools for continuous improvement.
- Participate in value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
- Support senior estimation engineers in risk assessment and mitigation planning for project proposals.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies throughout the estimation process.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.2 to 4 years of experience in electrical estimation or a similar engineering role.Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and construction processes.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.Familiarity with estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing cost estimates and documentation.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and industry best practices.
