Duties:
- Manage and monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
- Contact clients via phone, email, and written correspondence to follow up on overdue accounts and resolve payment issues.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with clients in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of all collection activities, communications, and payment arrangements.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, finance, and customer service to resolve billing discrepancies and disputes.
- Prepare regular reports on collection status, aging accounts, and cash flow forecasts for management review.
- Assess creditworthiness of new and existing clients and recommend credit limits or actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies regarding collections and data privacy.
- Escalate unresolved accounts to legal or external collection agencies when necessary.
- Continuously seek process improvements to increase collection efficiency and reduce bad debt.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.3 to 5 years of proven experience in collections, accounts receivable, or credit control.Strong understanding of collection techniques, negotiation strategies, and credit risk assessment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interactions.High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult conversations professionally.Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and achieve collection targets.Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing collections and data privacy.
