- Develop detailed designs for mechanical systems related to infrastructure projects (e.g., pump stations, lift stations, utility pipelines, valves, ventilation).
- Perform mechanical and hydraulic calculations to support system design and sizing.
- Prepare technical drawings, design reports, BOQs, and technical specifications.
- Use specialized design software such as:
- AutoCAD MEP
- Revit
- WaterGEMS / SewerGEMS
- HAP (for HVAC calculations)
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and equipment data sheets.
- Coordinate design work with other disciplines (civil, electrical, instrumentation).
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design standards.
- Support commissioning and testing activities for mechanical systems.
- Ensure compliance with local and international mechanical codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, Saudi Mechanical Code, SMACNA).
