We are building a state-of-the-art platform to capture and analyze physiological data from a new generation of medical and consumer wearable devices. The company is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Senior PHP/Laravel Developer to contribute to our next-generation platform. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and architecting our products, ensuring a scalable, maintainable, and efficient codebase. You will also work with other developers and make key technical decisions that shape the future of our platform.

This is a fully remote position, but candidates must be based in Egypt.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using Laravel and PHP.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices such as SOLID principles and DRY methodology.
• Design and optimize databases, ensuring scalability, normalization, and efficient indexing.
• Identify and resolve complex technical issues, implementing scalable and efficient solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, and developers) to deliver timely, high-quality features.
• Provide technical leadership by reviewing code, enforcing best practices, and maintaining a clean, scalable, and well-architected codebase.
• Lead the design and implementation of backend services and APIs, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
• Optimize deployment pipelines and ensure seamless hosting on Google Cloud (or similar cloud platforms).
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering growth in clean coding practices, architecture, and database design.

4+ years of experience in software development, specializing in PHP and Laravel.Strong proficiency in cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud (or similar), including deployment and cloud-based architecture.Expertise in database design, covering schema design, query optimization, and normalizationStrong expertise in writing clean, reusable, and maintainable code, following SOLID, DRY, and other best practices.Extensive experience in designing and developing scalable, secure web applications.Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git.Hands-on experience with backend authentication technologies and system security protocols.Experience with multi-tenant, microservice, and serverless architectures.Proven expertise in CI/CD pipeline development and automation scripting.Demonstrated ability to make architectural decisions for complex systems.Strong problem-solving skills, with a critical thinking mindset and a track record of innovative solutions.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Mandatory Requirements:Stable internet connection and a reliable electricity backup to support remote work.Strong time management and organizational skills to thrive in a remote environment.Commitment to continuous learning, staying up to date with new technologies, frameworks, and architectural patterns, and bringing innovative solutions to the team.
