Job Description
The Mechanical BIM Engineer will play a crucial role in optimizing our project delivery through the effective use of BIM technologies. This includes creating detailed 3D models of mechanical systems, coordinating with other disciplines, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of BIM data throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities

ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for mechanical systems in water treatment plants, including piping, HVAC, pumps, tanks, and other relevant equipment.Perform clash detection and coordination with other disciplines (structural, civil, electrical, process) to resolve conflicts and ensure seamless integration of designs.Generate detailed 2D drawings, schedules, and reports directly from BIM models.Implement and enforce BIM standards, protocols, and workflows in accordance with company and industry best practices.Collaborate closely with project managers, design engineers, and construction teams to ensure BIM models meet project requirements and deadlines.Provide technical support and training on BIM software and processes to internal teams.Participate in design reviews and contribute to value engineering initiatives.Stay updated with the latest BIM technologies, software advancements, and industry trends.Assist in the development of BIM execution plans (BEP) for projects.Manage and maintain BIM libraries and content.Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer with significant exposure to BIM in an engineering or construction environment, preferably within the water treatment, wastewater, or industrial plant sectors.Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit MEP, Navisworks, and AutoCAD Plant 3D.Strong understanding of mechanical systems design principles for water treatment plants (e.g., pumping stations, filtration systems, chemical dosing, piping networks).Experience with clash detection and resolution workflows.Familiarity with industry standards and codes related to mechanical design and BIM.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).Experience with other BIM-related software or platforms (e.g., Bentley OpenBuildings, Civil 3D).Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and instrumentation related to mechanical systems.
