Project Manager Engineer

The Project Manager Engineer is responsible for the overall planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of engineering and construction projects. This role ensures that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting all technical and quality standards. The Project Manager Engineer leads cross-functional teams and coordinates with clients, consultants, and contractors to drive project success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Initiation:

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and risk analysis.

Execution & Monitoring:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of engineering and construction projects.
  • Monitor project progress against schedule, cost, and quality benchmarks.
  • Coordinate tasks across engineering, procurement, and construction teams.

Team & Stakeholder Management:

  • Supervise and guide project team members, including engineers, consultants, and contractors.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
  • Organize and lead regular progress meetings with stakeholders.

Budget & Cost Control:

  • Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with approved budgets.
  • Authorize payments, variations, and change orders in coordination with finance and contracts teams.
  • Optimize resource utilization to reduce costs without compromising quality.

Quality & Compliance:

  • Ensure all project activities comply with contractual specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Review and approve technical submissions such as shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with quality control plans.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, logs, and records.
  • Generate regular progress and financial reports for senior management and clients.
  • Manage project close-out activities including handover, punch lists, and documentation.

 

 


Requirements:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.Experience:7-10 years of relevant experience in engineering project management, with a proven track record in managing medium to large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
