Oversee comprehensive supply chain planning activities to align production, material, and demand planning with operational goals, optimize inventory, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency and effectiveness
Job Responsibilities:
Budgets and Plans:
- Contribute to the development and monitoring of the planning department's budget to ensure alignment with financial targets and early identification of variances.
Policies, Systems, Processes, & Procedures:
- Recommend and implement improvements to planning policies and procedures.
- Lead planning meetings to ensure data consistency across all supply chain functions, monitored through SOP compliance and system utilization.
Team Coordination:
- Collaborate with planning supervisors to ensure the effective execution of planning activities.
S&OP Leadership:
- Lead monthly S&OP Supply Reviews to identify and resolve capacity constraints against demand across short- and long-term horizons.
- Ensure operational excellence by tracking key metrics, conducting root cause analyses, and aligning gap-closing actions with stakeholders before presenting to senior leadership.
Inventory Management:
- Help manage overall inventory strategies to balance costs and service levels.
Reporting:
- Supervise the preparation of timely and accurate planning reports in accordance with company policies and departmental standards.
- Issue quarterly performance reviews highlighting departmental targets versus actual results
Continuous Improvement:
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to streamline planning processes and enhance operational responsiveness.
Health, Safety, & Environment:
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures to promote employee well-being, regulatory adherence, product/service quality, and environmental responsibility.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred), with at least 8 years of supply chain planning experience, including 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role. Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and a strong sense of numbers.Business acumen and leadership capabilities, able to take initiative and drive results.Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and advanced use of Microsoft Office.Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication and strong organizational abilities.Supply chain certification is preferable.
