Key Responsibilities
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze healthcare data (e.g., claims, EHRs, patient outcomes) to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cost savings, patient outcomes, and care quality metrics.
- Population Health Management:
- Use predictive analytics to identify high-risk patients and recommend targeted interventions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of population health programs (e.g., diabetes management, hypertension control).
- Performance Measurement:
- Measure and report on value-based care metrics, such as:
- Hospital readmission rates.
- Patient satisfaction scores (e.g., NPS)
- Cost per episode of care.
- Benchmark performance against regional or national standards.
- Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Work with clinicians, care managers, and administrators to translate data insights into actionable strategies.
- Support the design and implementation of value-based care initiatives.
- Technology and Tools:
- Utilize advanced analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI) to analyze and visualize data.
- Manage and integrate data from multiple sources (e.g., EHRs, claims, patient registries).
- Quality Improvement:
- Identify gaps in care delivery and recommend process improvements.
- Support accreditation and compliance efforts (e.g., HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings).
- Cost and Utilization Analysis:
- Analyze healthcare utilization patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate the financial impact of value-based care programs.
Technical Skills:Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, SAS).Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Knowledge of healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, FHIR).Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., Intersystem).Analytical Skills:Strong ability to interpret complex healthcare data.Expertise in predictive modeling and risk stratification.Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning.Healthcare Knowledge:Deep understanding of value-based care models (e.g., ACOs, bundled payments, capitation).Knowledge of healthcare regulations and quality metrics Familiarity with population health management strategies.Education:Master’s degree in Health Informatics, Data Science, Public Health, or a related field.Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Statistics, or Computer Science.Certifications:Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA).Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ).Tableau Desktop Specialist or Power BI Certification. Experience3+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, with a focus on value-based care.Experience working with payers, providers, or accountable care organizations (ACOs).Proven track record of using data to drive cost savings and improve patient outcomes.
