- Daily Purchase Order Management:
- Review, approve, and process purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor order status from placement to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate receipt of goods.
- Supplier Coordination:
- Establish and maintain regular communication with suppliers to confirm order details, resolve issues, and monitor performance.
- Conduct daily follow-ups on pending orders and address any discrepancies or delays.
- Market and Cost Monitoring:
- Keep track of market trends, pricing changes, and supplier offers to ensure competitive purchasing decisions.
- Initiate negotiations on a daily basis when necessary to secure cost-effective agreements.
- Inventory and Stock Management:
- Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to monitor stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Update inventory records regularly and report on fluctuations impacting day-to-day operations.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure that purchased goods meet quality standards and comply with company policies.
- Work closely with the quality control team to address any issues related to product quality or order discrepancies.
- Administrative and Reporting Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of daily transactions, supplier contracts, and order histories.
- Prepare daily and weekly reports detailing procurement activities, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
- Team Coordination and Support:
- Lead and mentor the procurement team to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Delegate responsibilities and monitor progress to achieve both short-term operational goals and long-term strategic objectives.
-Education: A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.-Experience:Proven 10 + years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally focusing on day-to-day operations.Strong analytical skills and ability to monitor market trendsExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong communication and relationship management skillsProficiency in purchasing software and the Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teamsExperience in the food production industry is a Must
