Purpose of the position

Receptionists are responsible for greeting visitors and delivering exceptional customer service assistance. This entails answering calls and fielding them accordingly, addressing visitor questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment. This oftentimes includes performing ad hoc administrative duties as needed.

 

Role Description 

  • Answering screening and forwarding incoming phone calls
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Receiving and sorting daily mail
  • Ensure the reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms, and brochures)
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Scheduling appointments.
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings

 


Academic & qualificationsA bachelor’s degree in business administration or a similar field preferredExcellent in Microsoft Office.(2-4 years) Proven work experience as a receptionist or in a related fieldContracting Background is preferred.Personal CompetenciesConsistent, professional dress, and manner.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.•    Confidentiality.Good time management skills.Strong multitasking skillsAbility to work in a team environmentAble to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required.
