Commercial & Operation Manager

Commercial Management: 
o Make, manage, and meet annual budgets in discussion with business head and review performance periodically. Analyze data and report it to higher management for getting the right guidance and direction.
o Overall demand planning and actively assist in arriving at effective sales forecasts for different customers and regions. Use these forecasts to plan the demand side, shipments, and stocks at these destinations. Key metrics like days of stocks required to be maintained at destination warehouses based on customer demand/forecast, number of days of stock out, amount of overstocking etc need to be controlled with this exercise. 
o Monitor and evaluate the plant’s operating performance and ensure key policies are followed. In line with operations; setting up benchmarks, systems, and processes to ensure operational objectives and customer excellence are delivered would be part of this. 
o Review production planning periodically to make sure that OTIF targets are met with the most optimized resource utilization including manpower. Collect and review data to reduce inefficiencies and waste.
o Manage production with the help of the plant manager. This would be through helping in coordinating daily activities and easing the communications between key departments.
o Coordinate to ensure timely availability of raw materials, packing material and overall supply planning.
o Help in freight demand estimations, negotiations, and plan better to reduce overall logistics costs.
o Create documentation (including workflows) for internal teams and other stakeholders for day to day process management and digitization/ standardization of the processes.
o Help the purchasing team in making priorities for initiating and carrying out negotiations with key vendors for non-commodities, setting targets in savings and meeting those targets. 
o Do recruitment, training and onboarding of employees needed in the plant. Evaluate team performances and support them in continuous improvement.
o Communication with multiple entities – effective communication skills and product/quality knowledge are critical. Needs to interact with F&BS Sales offices to provide regular updates, direct customer interactions across geographies and amongst ofi units.
 Operational Management 
o Strong understanding of costs and processes, sharp decision-making to ensure execution of sales as budgeted.
o DC/MOH understanding for all the products, 
o Logistics and Freight Management – good background on supply chain is necessary.
o Standard ofi reports for Operations – TCBs for multiple grades/customers, stock reconciliations.
o Customer Claims – evaluation, quantification, follow-up and closure.
o Help the purchasing team in making priorities for initiating and carrying out negotiations with key vendors for non-commodities, setting targets in savings and meeting those targets. 
o Do recruitment, training and onboarding of employees needed in the plant. Evaluate team performances and support them in continuous improvement.
o Ensure that the plant, employees and the business stick to company policies, procedures, code of ethics and the rules of the land.
o For process improvements/digitalization, the manager will collaborate internal and external stakeholders like plant teams, ofi digital/SAP teams, ofi approved vendors, external vendors, global business process owners in functional areas etc.
o Ensuring ofi’s safety policies are implemented and workforce is kept safe all the time. Leading the discussion for UA/UC/NM closure. Conduct workplace inspection. In an event of LTI/MTC – timely reporting the details to senior global leadership. 
o Adherence to factory compliance for fire safety, environmental discharge etc. Engaging with local govt bodies as or when required. 
o Facilitating the Audits  for food Safety, social compliance and customer approval along with various teams of plant.
o Facilitate R&D team : Designing the processes and tweaking the processes keeping in mind the overall expectation of customer and striking the balance between cost and service to customers. 
o Planning of yearly Capex keeping in mind the future business growth and upkeep of facility. Leading discussion with support functions to seek approval for capex and execution of capex along with factory teams. 
o Visit exhibitions and conferences as per time availability to explore new opportunities of improvement in operations. 
o Keep a track of industry trends such as recalls, new investments, growing concerns on food safety etc.

 


MBA in Business Administration, Management or related area or a related field.Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial negotiations and management, sales and business development and/or commercial strategy. Three (3) years’ experience developing and mentoring sales and business development teamsStrong knowledge of Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.Strong industry and market awareness (local, regional, international). Ability to oversee product supply chains for the hardware-oriented business  Proven track record of securing strategic partners to expand long-term value proposition of the company.A sophisticated understanding or the processes and metrics required for sales success.In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office.Excellent verbal, written, communication and presentation skillsExcellence in English. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
