2. Freight & Transportation Management
- Establish strong relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transport companies to negotiate the best terms.
- Manage import/export documentation, customs clearance, and ensure compliance with global trade regulations.
- Optimize container utilization, freight consolidation, and cost-effective transportation models.
3. Vendor & Supplier Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
- Monitor vendor performance through KPIs and SLA adherence.
- Develop contingency plans for logistics disruptions, delays, and supplier failures.
4. Inventory & Warehouse Coordination
- Ensure optimal stock levels across warehouses in different locations.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure efficient inbound and outbound logistics.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize stock losses, damages, and delays.
5. Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to global trade compliance, customs laws, and international shipping regulations.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies to handle logistics disruptions, geopolitical issues, and regulatory changes.
- Stay updated on FTA agreements, duty structures, and customs tariffs affecting operations.
6. Technology & Process Improvement
- Implement ERP, WMS, and TMS systems to automate and enhance logistics tracking.
- Leverage data analytics to optimize shipping performance and reduce bottlenecks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiencies.
7. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability.
- Train teams on best practices, process improvements, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to enhance supply chain efficiency.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.10+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, preferably in the paper industry.Experience in blue-chip multinational companies (preferably in the paper manufacturing or trading sector).Strong knowledge of international shipping, freight forwarding, customs regulations, and supply chain best practices.Expertise in managing logistics across globe.Hands-on experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, and data analytics tools.Proven ability to manage multi-million-dollar freight budgets and cost optimization strategies.Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a proactive approach to risk management.Preferred CertificationsCertified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) – APICSCertified Logistics & Transportation Manager (CLTM)Lean Six Sigma / Process Improvement Certifications
