IT Section Head

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement the IT strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Evaluate and recommend technology solutions and upgrades to enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with senior management to identify IT needs and propose budgetary requirements.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and systems.
• Ensure the availability and reliability of IT systems, minimizing downtime and disruptions.
• Monitor and manage IT resources, licenses, and contracts with vendors and service providers.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
• Develop and enforce data security policies and procedures to protect confidential information.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments.
• Provide training and awareness programs to employees on data security best practices.
• Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Coordinate with the IT team to resolve help desk tickets and ensure timely problem resolution.
• Manage and prioritize IT support requests, adhering to service level agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain an inventory of hardware, software, and licenses, and manage the deployment and maintenance of IT assets.
• Delegate tasks, assign projects, and monitor progress to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
• Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and professional development.
• Stay updated on industry certifications and encourage continuous learning within the IT team.
• Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular audits to assess adherence to IT policies and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to address IT-related compliance matters.
 


• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.• Proven experience in IT management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.• In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, network administration, and system security.• Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and manufacturing software is advantageous.• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop the IT team.• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities to address complex IT issues.• Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.• Project management skills to oversee IT projects and initiatives.• Knowledge of data privacy regulations, such as GDPR or CCPA, is a plus.
