Senior Electrical Quantity Surveyor Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Quantity Take-off & Estimation: Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for electrical works based on drawings, specifications, and BOQs.

Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor project costs, compare against budget estimates, and provide reports on cost variances.

Tendering & Procurement: Assist in preparing tender documents, reviewing subcontractor quotations, and negotiating pricing.

Contract Administration: Evaluate subcontractor invoices, process claims, and ensure compliance with contract terms.

Progress & Valuation Reports: Prepare interim and final valuations for electrical works and support progress billing.

Variation & Claims Management: Assess and manage variations and claims to ensure fair compensation for additional works.

Coordination with Stakeholders: Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and finance teams for project cost optimization.

Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks related to electrical work.

Compliance & Documentation: Ensure that all work aligns with contract requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.


Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.7+ years of experience in quantity surveying, specifically in electrical works.Experience in construction, MEP, or infrastructure projects is preferred.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, contract administration, and cost management.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Excel for quantity take-offs.Experience with FIDIC contracts and cost control software such as CCS, Candy, or Primavera.Familiarity with electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
